Park Description

Madryn Castle Holiday Home Park is a 5* award winning park, offering the perfect blend of serenity, seclusion and the spirit of adventure. The park is nestled in the heart of the Llŷn Peninsula, among peaceful natural woodland and rural green meadows, yet within easy reach of the nearby coastal towns of Abersoch, Nefyn and Pwllheli. From its perch on the hillside of Garnfadryn, it showcases panoramic views towards the coast and Snowdonia mountain range. Its gentle and rustic charm mimics the rugged, yet breath-taking landscapes that comprise the Llŷn Peninsula.

The park is steeped in history, once part of a large manor estate, built in the 19th century by local nobility who went on to colonise Puerto Madryn in Argentina. The castle stood on the grounds for over a century, before it was destroyed by a fire in the 1960’s. Parts of the old castle can still be seen at the park today, with the castle’s original gatehouse being restored to its former glory in 2011. The iconic gatehouse now serves as the park’s main office, reminding visitors of the fascinating history with each visit.

Madryn Castle is a hidden gem, and the perfect escape for those looking to enjoy and explore all the Llŷn Peninsula has to offer – from beaches and surf, to mountains, lakes and hiking trails. The park provides a low tech, high touch experience focusing on the finer details that make owning or renting a holiday home here so special. Public spaces are immaculately manicured, and in designing each of the bespoke pitches emphasis has been given to privacy and aesthetics, ensuring each bolthole blends seamlessly into its natural surroundings. The park is both family and pet-friendly and its facilities include a newly appointed children’s outdoor play area, an all-weather sports court, indoor games room, laundrette and access to two private woodland walks.
