Woodland walks can be found directly from the park, where you are transported to a haven of silence and beauty.
Ridgeway is a haven for avid walkers, with the Sandstone Trail bordering the park, a walk which stretches from Frodsham to Whitchurch, known as the finest and most popular middle-distance walk in North-West England. The park is also only nine miles from the historic city of Chester. Here you can spend the day partaking in some retail therapy, before enjoying a freshly cooked meal in one of the cities sophisticated restaurants. Chester is home to a wealth of attractions, from Chester Racecourse, tours around the cities Roman walls and the Grosvenor museum of natural history and art.
