The Trotting Mare Caravan Park is an adult’s only caravan park, situated near the historic village of Overton-on-Dee, near Wrexham and the Lakelands of Ellesmere, near Shropshire. The park is uniquely located on the Wales/England border, giving you easy access to both the wonders of North Wales and the Cheshire/Shropshire area.

The park is the perfect retreat, if you’re looking to getaway and unwind in the natural countryside. On site, dogs are welcome, with dog walks being accessible directly from the park. Fishing is also available on site, if you want to try your hand at catching some common carp.

On site, the Trotting Mare is home to its own public house, The Trotting Mare Inn, Country Pub. The pub serves drinks and home cooked food daily, perfect for those days when you want to relax and just put your feet up. The pub has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, making you want to return time and time again.

Caravan holidays and parks aren't only about countryside or beach locations. In the Cheshire area we work with a number of parks that are popular with people who want to escape workaday stresses yet require a home from home within easy reach.
